Spot the odd one out

5 examples of dancing, mostly in forms you are unfamiliar with, discofox, modern jive and east coast swing. Your challenge - to identify the odd one out. 4 of them should have never have been permitted to enter ANY dance competion.

Ok I will be brave and give it ago.....I think it is the clip that shows the east coast swing.....it looks more like jive....and the others are always maintaining an arm connection with their partner. I am sure there are other difference but on first viewing that would be my choice.
Now I wait

I'm impressed. . . . .mostly by the total absent of responses.
It just confirms what I have posted elsewhere - ballroom dancers have no idea at all about musicality or rhythm

I do think that is a bit harsh.. you cant judge that on the amount of responses as not everyone has read it yet.... it would be interesting to see those that are here that do AT what there view is as they have also not yet responded.
As I mentioned in another thread...don't make judgmental or sweeping statements....it does not add to the debate....
you are obviously very musical and I am sure there are other better ways to make your point.

Maybe the fact that the youtube video you have classified as a 'modern jive' is actually freestyle dancing to a cha cha beat, from what i can tell the dancing in the particular video may resemble or draw upon modern jive steps and sequences but certaintly is by no stretch of the imagintion a modern jive. Is this what you were refering to?
On the point of ballroom dancers having no rhythm, how do you think it possible for us to dance to music then?

Again I say that everyone is entitled to an opinion but it is the manner in which it is delivered.....to insult one group over another is not the way to win hearts to your cause or view....
No one person can possibly know the answers and it is a continuous journey through life...
Please just be respectful and express an opinion in a tone that does not have to offend another....

Ah. . . .lots of abuse, no one willing to take the challenge.
You make my points for me - dancesport dancers don't understand musical interpretation.
And yes its harsh, the debate is about whether dancesport dance with the music. We have a clear test, they can have the courage to take like QPO or admit they don't know like Elise.
Abusing someone for posing the question, while at the same time refusing to address it is just the cowardice of failure. It's like the kid who decllares I got 10% on my test because my teacher hates me.
It's not that the teacher hates them - it that they are not as smart at they would like to be.
