my daughter and I are sword fighting with wooden swords. After being dispatched as  countless baddies, and dismembered and decapitated (and having my hair done) I am made a goodie. we are practicing our sword fighting; she growls, scowls , then giggles; so I say " That is how you defeat your enemies; Growl tee-hee-hee"
she thinks that's funny and says do it again; so I repeat it a couple of times and she is on the floor hysterical with laughter.

I'm very glad that that secret pleasure is not a secret any more...
Just what I needed today, a warm and cuddly son-substitute story....

Freudian slips,
Like minds,
Irony biting know-it-alls in the ass,
Really good milkshakes,
Curl of lip, swirl of gown...

Although I did once tell this to a therapist, and then she asked me if I had epilepsy.  Apparently a smoke smell illusion is a precursor of a seizure for some epileptics.

interesting, cornutt. had never heard that.

it might've been a smell you experienced from pre-verbal years. were your folks into camping or bonfires?

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels,
door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles.
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings.
these are a few of my favorite things.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes,
snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,
silver white winters that melt into springs,
these are a few of my favorite things.

Scarily good dreams that you can pick back up on even after some jackhole telesolicitor interrupts it!

Five extra bucks for a *good* pre-lesson coffee, not that powder crap at the gas station.

Real Diet Coke in the little bitty cans, because it stays fresher and colder longer.

The little rainbow flecks on the wall from the reflection of sun off my Magic Lucky Sparkly Handed Down From Awesomeness.

Waking up without sore feet because My Magic Sparkly New Shoes Handed Down From Awesomeness are doing the trick.

A Reese's Cup that's the right ratio of chocolate-to-filling and isn't gooey.

Having a spotlight partner for Smooth/Rhythm/Latin starting after the holiday crunch! That can choreograph and imagine and think abstractly!! *SqueeBounce*
