How do you feel about others watching your lesson?

Something that came up from another topic.
I like watching others have their lessons. Part of it is just pure curiosity to see where everyone is at, and what their learning process is like. But mostly it's because I love watching people dance, especially if they are much better than me
So how would you feel if you saw someone watching you? Personally, I don't think I mind. But I'm curious to know what others feel.

can't seem to fix it.
I hope it doesn't skew the voting.....

looks fine to me. I think the bold text is to indicate your own vote...

I dont mind that much, as your teacher will give every student the same advice and it is then up to you to interpret it and put it into your dancing. As long as they dont interfere with your lesson!

I'm actually a tad uncomfortable being watched, but figured it would be hypocritical to vote for that, since I enjoy watching other people's lessons.

I don't like it. Its my private lesson and I paid for it to be private so that I can focus on what I need to learn. Once people watch I can't let go as much since I'm then conscious of being a showcase. Obviously I have issues! But thats not the point, they are my issues and I'm paying for the lesson.
Besides, I resent them being tought on my nickle - if they want to learn from my lesson they should pay me a part of the fee... OK so I'm a bit mean too..

Perfectly understandable.
But ... what about studios that are busy enough that multiple teachers share the floor?

then you respect other people's privacy - like when people share a changing room

I've rarely seen anyone respect others privacy. People aren't usually blatant about it, but on occasion I have seen people stop in the middle of their lessons, specifically to watch, especially around showcase time.

But they may be watching to admire or even judge. I don't mind the former, I can live with the latter - its the scofflaws that want a free private lesson that drive me accross the floor and up the studio wall...
