I like weather mid-to hot. I was born in May (but the second last day in may), so pretty much winter in Australia. I wonder, though, if maybe there could be a genetic predisposition? For example, my mum can't stand the heat, and neither can my younger sister; whereas my dad and I could quite happily live in summer all year round. Similarly, my sister takes more after my mum in most ways (apperance etc), where I tend more towards my dad's side of the family...just wonder if there could be something in that...

definite likelihood - after all, adapting to weather is certainly regional as are races. In fact, I'd be surprised if there was NOT a link.

Definitely a cold weather person! I was complaining today about how hot it was and the temperature barely reached 30.

me too...as most dance venues here are poorly catered for heat...nothing like getting hot on top of hot!

It was back in 2000. I lived in Vancouver with my parents for a year. Moved to Melbourne after that cause the old man got offered a job here as a lecturer. He was only offered a research fellow position in Canada, so the lectureship was very attractive to him at the time.
I loved Canada though! Would love to go back some day! Any good comps there?

There's one today - but the jury is still out as to whether I am going to make it. I'm sick with flu and am on the mend but not sure if I've reached the threshold for actually surviving 3 rounds....
