DP and I have been doing a lot of videoing our practises and then reviewing and correcting.  For this we used his camera which has a nice video mode but then struggled to see ourselves on the tiny camera screen.  After doing this umpteen times it occurred to me that my notebook has a video built in.  Well the lense is maybe 3 mm square so it did not look possible that it could work.  but the vids are astonishing - not only can we now go directly from the take to the video (its just a mouse click away) and use all the features of WinDVD but the image is wide-field so we are far less likely to disappear from view.

Basically, its a web-cam thats built into the notebook (its a fancy one) but I'm sure any plug-in web-cam would be just as good and maybe better.  We are fortunate, however, that the studio is well lit...
