Dancing too much??

ahhhh...so i'm not the only one! 

I used to do that as well.

I have stopped now. I guess there comes a time where things like that fade out. I do other things now and I am not telling what.

Revisiting some threads, is dancing too much more academic? If the partnership is suffering due to the different desire to dance. or your goals etc. Health wise if you are pushing yourself and not allowing for recovery it can be an issue, but this is where family and friends should assist and let you know that perhaps there needs to be a rethink.

But on the whole I don't think you can dance too much, it is just a way of life for a dance tragic as myself.

You can dance too much if it affects your income to the point where you are having difficulties meeting your obligations.... unless, that is, dance is a career aspiration in itself...

indeed, but one always has to put it into perspective.. and say this is as much as I am prepared to spend, if you cannot it then has become an addiction....you need to speak with someone to discuss it

IF there is a dancers anonymous, then I shall go regularly to meetings.  What kind of music do you think they'll play? Should I take my dp or might I find one there?

I dont believe you are alone...and not sure where we should go  , acknowledgment is the first step.

We should set one up here - we sort of have a topic 'you know you're a ballroom dancer when...' where you can list some of your excesses
Seems to me though that while you dance a lot your work still comes first.  But do you have any social/home life outside dance?  If not maybe you are a bit OTT....
