we did OK - though I totally screwed up the single dances (see new 'competition stories' topic) it came together where it mattered in the Dancesport series C 1st in a 7 couple final SmileySmiley

there is a link to the video in the comp video topic and (the only photo) in the 'pictures of us' topic, newcomers.

as always, any feedback appreciated

Actually, he's been my #1 fan, bless him.  He understands why I am doing it  - he sees why its such an amazing opportunity.

Its 1.40 am Sunday and I just drove back from Kingston (~250 kms).  I was going to stop for the night but the choices were awful (e.g. smokers room for $100 in two bit hotel..) so I stacked up with coffee and candies and ate my way to Toronto.

Yesterday DP and I competed in our first 'real' pre-champ senior I event - 18 couples entered, 16 showed including the best of our area.  We managed one round from the quarter to the semi (17/20 call backs) but then kind of lost our steam - ending up 9th/16.  A result that I am very very pleased with.  The best thing was that we managed to do all our routines without any major snafus and where things got tight we got out of them quite nicely.  The only screw up was the second part of the semi QS where we got out of sync.

But all in all a nice result for us.  I'll post a bit more info on the comp in the appropriate topic.

Just got back from the Premiere dance comp, came home with five 4th's and a 5th which i'm bery happy with !! we made finals into every one of our events.
Was a great day though now extreamly tired, our dances were all video'ed so once i get a copy i'll put something in my blog Wink Also met SW, QPO and V today !! Cheesy
