I'm here, just came from being blown away in the wind looking for a stray cat.

QPO, how did your dance meeting go?

We have our provincial meeting on the 23rd but I don't expect anything to be solved provincial or Canada ways since the same people are in charge and they just won't change.  I am not sure they know how or even want to.  They keep their heads in the sand hoping the problems will blow over.  For them I am just a pain in the butt, always trying to make them open their eyes when in reality they would rather just not see.

Everyone tries to rush up through the syllabus levles and think once they are at the top they have arrived.  What they don't realize is that by doing this it is like skimming through a book, you may get the gist but you will never understand the story.

Well they all agree that something must be done, but they are looking for others to do it. We have the oldies that want to do the same old same old and the young ones that are not putting up their hands.

I have drafted the minutes for the meeting and sent them out. and with everything else on my plate have let it slide for a few weeks. I will write a report to National but from what I hear there are only a few people doing anything at that level as well, They have had a change of directors so I will see what transpires in the coming months.

the only thing that really matters is that there are couples who want to dance.  If there are plenty then organization should spring from them.

Real problems arise when people in charge become disconnected from the community they serve. Typically, they start to focus on only a subset of their clientele - and then resentment sets in by the rest.
