improve your upper body flexibility, arm actions of course, and if you can at least walk work on your ballance while improving your shape

yes...I will start to do that and I have downloaded excersies to strenghten the quads...but I wait to hear from the spcialist on Tuesday before I start anything too serious.....I will get jaqcques to set up the bike so I can attempt to pedal

Arm styling perhaps?

To what extent can't you use it? Are you up and moving freely, or can you not walk around?

Because if it's the former, you may be able to work on shaping and expression for particular steps. Say, you take up a "pose" of a step, and work on shaping, etc.

Also, perhaps, musical expression for each dance. So while you can't dance, you sit there and work out what feelings and emotions the dance brings to you. My piano teacher advises me to make up a story for each of my pieces. Perhaps you could make up a story about each routine?

good advise.. have started doing pilates and we are practining the connection. I will start to watch the routines and visulaise them during the day....

that way I feel useful and that I am not loosing my knowledge
