I don't know. J just had the charge go through on his card. He's just waiting on the official confirmation letter.
This year and last, he sent the form in really early, so I'm not sure how it works outside of that.

I do know that you have to get the application in early. I send my application in July and just had my card charged last week. I would fax or e-mail them and ask for an application to be either send or faxed. If they are not willing to send or fax a application for this year, then at least ask to be put on the mailing list for 2011. I would say what ever you do, the earlier the better.

Ok if you want to go next year then fax or email them now and ask for a application form to be send or faxed.

They have the forms on their site I believe, and said they would sell tickets as long as they're still available.

You are dealing with traditions. Don't put your hopes up too high. I already tried to change traditions long ago and nearly got my head cut off. So don't hold your breath on that account.

I know - but the danger of tradition is that you can get left behind.... I saw it happen to British science years ago - they basically pretended that the work in the US was second rate   see where that got them....

Well, that is the problem. That is why the German Open is much bigger then The British Open.

I'm there for sure. I never book my tickets until about December time, but then again, I never want seats anyway - I prefer to stand so I'm at eye level with the competitors and can get their attention and have some interaction going on!
