Ok people I need help.
I need to choose a dress for this formal thing coming up.
I am only like 5'2" or so tall. not skinny, but still on the downside of weight...(yeah) I figured approx 20 pounds more by the time the event arrives. SO ............
which do you all like? pick a fav.
My goal is to look like a classy, stylish woman. ideas?

I like them all but the middle red is my favorite. What sort of event is it and how formal is formal, black tie/white tie or lounge suits etc etc and do you need to be able to eat? Also do you need to be able to dance?

I love both the red and the pink--just be aware that you'd have to cut off or bustle up the train on the pink in order to dance in it.

I think, given your colouring (based on the pictures I've seen), the pink would wash you out a bit. Personally, I love the red and black number.

Don't get the first one, it will make your chest look too big by cutting you off at the waist.
I don't like the style of the pink one with the slit.
I'd go with the black and red.

can I note that you are living a very interesting life of late... and I have a hunch why
I think it important to match the dress to your body type. Be honest with yourself as to what your strengths and weaknesses are and then pick a dress that flatters the former and minimizes the latter. I for example avoid dresses that don't enhance my waste and that leave my shoulders bare - but favor ones for my legs, height and slimness. I can't pick from those - the other thing to do is to ask your seamstress - if she makes dresses she may have some great tips....

I would wear the first one, but then, it suits my body shape and colour. I'm not a fan of the third one, so I guess either first or second it is.
