You might treat it like ebay does auction descriptions. You can go back later and add to, for clarity's sake, but not take away. That way the original post is there, and what you corrected about it.

Oh my gosh!! Another wonderful thread.  I especially value DSV's metaphor of being the dance grandparent and sending recalcitrant teenagers home to their parents when they misbehave.

So maybe some good visiting coaches are grandparents or maybe aunts and uncles?  It takes a village right?

So BOT what makes a good student?  IME (I teach, just not dance)  humility enough to allow oneself to be taught and willingness to look foolish enough to try new things.

great students are open to all advice but clever enough to work out in the end what is good for them. Most teachers give the same advice but in different ways. You end up veering to the one that makes sense to you.

yes.  Same for the teacher BTW - the best ones (not only in dance) are fully aware of their own limitations and are always open to learning new things - in particular from their students.
