As per another thread....How important is it to walk out onto the floor confident, I believe it is, it gives the judges the impression you are worth looking at.....

Have to be confident, and have to "be big" and create space before music even starts.
Least, that's what pros keep telling me.

yes, you must walk out onto the floor as if you know what you are doing if that is Big then I will be the side of the house if necessary.

Yeah, some of us have to work harder at that.

Hmmm...think I said this somewhere else, but coach told us to walk on the floor and look like we're the most stuckup sweethearts there! LOL Whilst being nice inside.

I've decided I need a shot of vodka before my enxt comp. Least, before the showcase section, esp my new chacha showcase. Stagekat offered me two.
Pro with the cha showcase probably wouldn't say anything, but FP with the tango showcase afterwards would.

Interesting that some of guys who have been dancing for so long are still affected by nerves. The only time I am nervous is if I dont know the steps that I need to do. But because we practice them inside out and know each step intimately I don't have nerves on the floor.
Obviously I am lucky that way, I have friends that have such fear, i feel there pain

heh, I don't really get nerves dancing anymore, per se, but like anything involving me with women, self concious. But for showcase I'm working on now, that doesn't work. Only one lift, rest is meant to be me being cocky, self assured, and "latin". so still owrking on all that.
with my old showcase I have lifts that cover up for me not having the self confidences required.
