Thanks SW and Elise...
It was 5 shots I took with my camera on a mini tripod, which was on a table.

In between running western blots and writing
(ok...attempting at writing...badly)
my thesis last night, I took my camera to the beach and took some photos. They turned out alright! All shots were taken with a compact camera and no post modification.

So, how do you like the D90 now that you've had it a couple of months? What lens are you using for dance photos? I'm getting one in a couple of weeks (next paycheck) or MAYBE the D5000.
Did you get it???

Here's a photo published as a 'finalist' (along with umpteen others) in the Photographer's Forum 'Best of Photography 2009' volume. Zac wanted to see it...

I wonder if they thought it was fake - that I added the hand to a wall. Actually, its an original taken just 150 yds from my house where they were knocking down a coffee shop to build a bank...

I was wondering that... I think the thing that makes it look fake is the fact that the brush is so abruptly cut off, nonetheless a great photo!

I have a bunch of dance photos posted on Facebook from FADS event. There's also some from the last showcase in Hillsborough. I'm really liking the camera for dance events.
