The valkyries are norse goddesses who choose who will die in battle!

Here we don't choose who will die but dominate dance - they are the women that you just can not take your eyes off - even dancing with the most talented and gorgeous men.

So that got me inspired - and it connected directly with what pro istrying to get me to do - be what he calls 'more active' which is independent.  He may have created a monster cause I might just take this to the valkyrie extreme Smiley

You have to fight through a lot of crap before you find your way up out of the toilet. Sometimes I think I have a good hold on the rim then I slip back in.  Each time I don't sink quite as deep though. - Rugby

Had to go back and look, and now correct my statement.  Same Beata.  Smiley  I've seen her pro show with Max, but yeah, she's definitely best known with Michael.  I thought that name sounded familiar.  Beata Onefater, for anyone who wants to look her up.  Partnership with Max is just for shows, partnership with Michael was where she established herself as competitor, amateur and pro.  with umpteen zillion wins.  Smiley

And hate to go with another latin pro, but Natalie Paramonov is right up there for me.  Only seen them once or twice, but like at Wisconsin, seemed like it was here and Andre on floork, and then some vague notion of other dancers.  Couldn't take eyes off of them.  Which is saying something too, as were some really cute women in other couples.  Wink

Actually, not anymore.

Incidentally, somebody at my studio just tried on that dress, was seriously thinking about buying it, but would have had to have the sleeves shortened quite a bit.  As my pro's life partner put it, Valentina's got monkey arms!  I do agree with you though, Becca, she's exquisite.

Oh, and some of y'all might know her better as Valentina Weise--she was married to and competed with David Weise in Pro Smooth for several years.  It was after their divorce that she partnered with Jonathan Roberts.
