The quixotic point-scoring system for pro/am competition at:
http://www.dancesportseries.com/

It can be crazy at times but who can resist seeing where one's scores are Smiley

This site could do with some really constructive review.  Go to - but nicely OK Smiley

I did not know how the DSS would deal with an AM that switched pros during the year.  What they did was to list me twice, which sort of solves the problem but unfortunatley they did not list all my scores (one competition was left out, I contacted them twice) and I'm ranked as two different people!

Overall, I would give this system a low 'C' for usefulness, effectiveness, accountability and outcome.  I just wish there was an alternative way to compare the pro/am competitors - but there are probably few that agree with me.

OSB is round the corner.  I have no idea if anyone has been contacted by the competition about participating in the Team Match - its rather disappointing since a number of dancers invest a lot of time and money in competing in the series but the organizers sadly are at least lax in their follow through.  If anyone here has any info I would love to hear it.

Apparently if DSS is missing your scores, you should contact the organizer of the competition too, then it gets fixed.

thats a good tip - wish they had that on the web site - the form implies that OSB will fix the problem.

were you on the team ttd?  If so how did you find out?
