its Kathleen Battle - at her very very best.  But the reason its here is that this is one of the pieces (the main one) - voice, piano and violin that I have been asigned to play in chamber group at summer camp next week (violin of course).  Talk about lucked-out!  I just hope I can do justice to it....

I've got my final summative music performance in 2 days

The pieces I'm playing are (in this order)

Prelude from Suite Bergamasque - Claude Debussy
The Old Castle - Modest Mussorgsky
Prelude Opus 3 No. 2 - Sergei Rachmaninoff

With Chopin's Nocturne in C# Minor Opus Posthumous as a backup if I run out of time...Minimum is 10 minutes, maximum is 12. With the Chopin it makes 16, so I'm thinking I'll be fine.

I made a recording of them, but Audacity doesn't at all like the audio file, so I can't chop it into individual pieces.
Hoping that I can get my final performance taped to show you ^^

There are a couple of mistakes in each piece, partly caused by nerves and not really knowing the piece well enough. I think I've got them ironed out.

It went pretty well. I stuffed up a couple of times in the Rachmaninoff (fingers got slippery in the middle bit), but The Old Castle had no mistakes, and the Debussy only minor ones

So was asked to suggest a piece for our next quartet gathering - and came up with the Hunt quartet by Mozart.  I had looked it over and it seemed playable.  I probably made the cellist (who is the main organizer) choke cause he replied that this was likely Mozart's hardest.  Well, then I could not stand down so now we are scheduled to play it in Jan.

I don't think so - they were really invented by Haydn - who was born 9 years before Vivaldi died...
