na, it really doesn't work that way - besides that would be a violation of privacy. 
I suspect the person that entered the text simply got the names backwards.  Or rather in the wrong order (before i set off another texological maelstrom

came accross this curio on dancesportinfo at the 2009 Q.A.D.S Dancesport Championships results:
this couple is listed as:
Peter Beardsley & Rebecca Berry (aka Beardsley) Australia
So rebecca went from Beardsley to Berry.  Does that mean that they got divorced as life partners but are still dance partners?

well there is always a possibility there were brother and sister....and she got married

I can certainly tell you about this couple - they are among our best friends.  They have been dancing together for 15 years.  They started competing together when they were around 15.  Bec's maiden name is Berry.  They married about 6 years ago and they are both very married to each other.  They are one of our top couples in the state and I am very lucky in that Bec comes to me when she needs help fixing her costumes.  She is coming over Thursday night so I can do a fix on our latest costume that just arrived from the UK that had a minor malfunction at the Greek Club competition.  They are also one of Macca's best friends. 

I also read that report on the dancesportinfo page.  I think it was too hard just to change the name and because she danced and won so many events with Pete while they were single - it was just simpler to keep both names.  - mummsie (one of their biggest fans)

Well, that sort of makes sense - but then why the AKA??  Or maybe SW is right, they kept the pre-nuptial names but want to make it clear they are the same couple as the married one.

I think they should just go with it and be 'Peter & Rebecca Beardsley '.  At least judging by this discussion, that would be a lot simpler

Both Macca and I have told them about this site and it wouldn't surprise me if they popped in sometime.  No school is finished (Bec is a kindy teacher) she will have a little more time. - mummsie
