going to have a short day trip to the Yorke's Peninsula, it is about a two hour drive from where we are but have not been there for quite some time. will take a look at the historical places
which are?

it was a mining town, for copper, so it has some of the historical components of the mining and also a cottage that shows how they use to live.

Let's see....I've done a fair bit of travelling lately, mostly photography trips.

Last week went to great ocean road, that was an epic 12 hour drive!  Shocked
Yesterday went to Marysville, one of the worst hit towns by the bushfire last year, well it's town no more!  Sad About 5 hour trip there and back.
Today went to the Dandenong ranges for some bushwalking, about 2hrs driving and 2hrs walking.

I'm planning to visit some more places over the next couple of weeks, whilst I'm still on holidays (sort of on holidays anyway).  Roll Eyes

I don't look forward to travel as much any more Undecided  Its such a bother planning the trip, getting there living without most of the things I love, and then reversing the process.  Somehow it does not measure up.

Right now I have an excellent opportunity to go to Belize (SNAP) myself for a full week - stay by the beach and all the works at the end of march -  and I really don't feel like it...

Well we are off to Europe in June (at the end) and will be in Holland and Italy.. looking forward to it. Australia is so isolated from a diversity of culture. It is something I enjoy going to Europe for.

Cheesy

The point is you work in the danceworld so your vacations are outside.  I work outside so I want my vacations in dance (and playing my violin).  Its as simple as that.
A week in Belize on the beach would be a torture of sorts (for me).  No dancing, hard to play, and the expectations that i will enjoy sitting on sand and playing in the water.  Its actually not my idea of good fun....

I'd guess there are not a lot like me....

Week after next I have a business trip to Boston.  It's a hit-and-run trip, though... only one night, and I'll be staying in Woburn near the work site.
