8. Reliability (does not cancel lessons on the day of unless it's an emergency)
9. Compatibility (do you and your pro get along?)

11. Ability to see small mistakes
12. Ability to make the lesson fun
13. Ability to make complex principles simple to do
14. Ability to understand and explain principles from other "schools of thought"

I am getting curiouser:DSV...what makes it heavenly?

Now this is going to sound crazy and contradictive but it is the way we all describe/d them (the heavenly men (the Kings)).

They made us (we, girls) feel safe and taken care of....and yet they like taking risks and go out on a limb, we are the center of their attention...and yet they see everything around us, we have total freedom...yet we have no choice but to do what they want us to do, they are all around us.......and yet nowhere to be felt and seen, they hug us with gentleness....yet they are firm in their indications, they are soft and gentle.....and yet strong and rough, they protect us from harm and shine of confidence.....yet they are daring and fragile, they know what they want.....and yet often forget the routine, they know how to get what they want .......yet they often ask for confirmation, they make us feel like a queen and they are our king. They are just the perfect partners and they make us feel like we are their perfect partners. In short they are just perfect men, just the way we like them. I could continue a lot longer but I think you get my drift.

Sorry for rambling on like that.

I was actually dancing with one such man last week. He was just heavenly to dance with. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why I am still in this business.

I know there are some from Japan, some from England and some from continental Europe. I actually only have two myself. A student of mine just came back from Italy and they saw a video of my partner and me there.

It might be a bit of a challange to find some

There is not a lot as I didn't compete for a long time. Many couples compete for decades (amateur and then professional) so they have a lots of recordings. Also at the time I danced there was not as much recording as there is now. I do know there is a recording in Italy but I forgot to ask in Blackpool. I guess I will have to wait until next year.
