I think it's a good idea. It makes the whole divide thing less likely to happen, and while we have a better community, they have a lot more professional dancers and members that know stuff (I'm not saying that everyone on here doesn't know things, I'm just saying that by sheer numbers there are more over there)

Thats the point - PDO is an open community, thats what we take pride in, and hopefully other places on the web will be equally open....

And yes, I do want this to be an open topic - as for all the links I think its a great idea to share our experiences - and as for everything else on PD we will focus on the positive, cause thats who we are

both forums offer different styles of discussing something everyone loves ....dancing!

Actually, it just occurred to me that we were not allowed to suggest improvements to DF in the open forum - only in the private area.  But there are no restrictions here - and we openly invite suggestions in our public PDO feedback board - so if you have any areas where you think DF could be improved go to town. 

But again do try to focus on improvements, while one necessarily must mention limitations to suggest an improvement, if you post only negative comments you may be asked to amend or remove.

I like this. Sorta reminds me of Miracle on 34th street and Mr. Kringle sending people to other stores if Macy's did not have the product WHICH in turn ... made Macy's better. 

Plus ... reciginize Dfor what it is. Someone started the whole dance forum online. It was needed and it serves a very beneficial purpose.

And now PDO does as well ....

This is probably the #1 thing I dislike the most about DF.  How can a forum possibly grow and improve if changes are not discussed amongst the whole member body?  And, on a more practical note, if a member privately brings up an issue, there's no possible way for that member to get through to the staff when they're only one person arguing against the entire administration?  Never mind that more than one member probably has the same problem, they're just totally unaware of each other and thus can't back each other up.  It's a nice effective little way to segregate the members.

but what you describe is a classic example of 'divide and rule'.

But really, I don't care if they have read it.  It's not like I plan on contributing there at any time in the near or distant future.
