I had a goldfish called flippy...

Flippy lived in an open broad ceramic bowl with lots of rocks and a waterfall that stood in my bedroom.  Every morning he would come and nibble my fingers when I fed him.  He grew to aoub 4 inches -  but he started to go walkabouts and I would have to recover him from the floor.  One day I was too late....

But this topic is not on the bad things, sad as his ending was, I have lovely memoryies of flip.  This topic is to remember pets that we were fond of and all their antics......

we had a siamese fighting fish for a while called plimpy....and as usual the parents get left holding the baby so to speak..But poor plimp develop tumors everywhere and floating upright became a problem...So he went into the freezer....and is now buried in the garden with every other creature that has died and been part of our family no matter how brief.

well that is always a possibility but I don't now if the new owners moving in after we have gone will want us all there!

It was quite common in the olden days, particiularly for rich families (read 'manor' or 'stately home') - nice to know that the dearly beloved were not too much of a walk away...

well I dont fall into that category... don't think I will be interned in my property.. I want my ashes scattered over a rose garden,, but it will be a state garden.

its a pet fond rememberences topic and if you fit in then, fine - there is no prerequisite that you are dead.
indeed, pets remain more loveable if they have the other quality...

Kittius was a cat's cat.  What can I say, he was one of the best furry little guys I have ever known and I still miss him terribly.

I still miss my dog, bridget - a chesepeak bay retriever and a bit too large and protective for her own good - which resulted in all sorts of stories....

I think it is nice to be able to remember our past pets with fond memories, and all of my past cats, dogs, fish, bird are remembered with great affection
