When I was dancing in level 1 (which is the lowest level) you are not allowed to wear any glitter (or diamanty jewelry)
But after this week-end it is not an issue anymore, I can wear as much as I want!

further to this.. In Australia if you are dancing at the lowest level you can only dance in what they regard as street wear...and no after five wear and no big diamond style jewelery. because I was unaware of this I was given a D you need two judges to give you D's to be disqualified 1 D is a warning.

But what about the pretty dresses in your photos? Are they gowns or did you buy them off the rack?

my level 1 red one was made for a party. My white one with the blue stoning was bought from e-bay and I have one more that I have yet to wear, they both have high necklines so any jewelery will be in my hair, my arms are also covered in stones. I will have to post a picture of the other dress.

my husband will colour my hair for me..
That’s excellent! DP can only do tanning so far…don’t think he’s trainable for gal’s hair or makeup, although he does good job for his own hair

Skipper helped me pick out hoop earings for my 'new' refurbished dress over the weekend - and also gfave me some great tips about dos and don'ts. We settled on a pair of fairly large oval hoop nearly-black earrings. One of the things she suggested was to avoid getting too cordinated - it can look amateurish. I found that very interesting and it fits my instincts which are to limit the focal points in your dress - sure have something crazy but don't make too many things crazy as they start to compete with each other.

I improvised my own necklace yesterday. Was wearing a strapless top, so I figured an actual necklace might look a bit weird, plus, my sister borrowed our bling.
I got a diamante pendant off of one of my necklaces, threaded a ribbon through it, and tied it around the base of my neck. The ribbon was the same colour as the top, and I'm told it looked good.

Joys of being a guy. In latin I wear same silver chain and gray ring I wear every day. Smooth I wear the chain (though under shirt), ring, and cufflinks. Match pros dress if possible, if not, just a neutral, like black and silver.

is that bad? these are elongated. The reason I like htem is that they are simple - the bodice of the dress is ornate lace so they have enough shape to go but not so much they clash

Did Skipper help you pick them out? If she did, then I know they are going to look great with your dress. She has great taste. She is always dressed very classy and knows what looks great on the floor.
