Peaches, who used to participate here and DF and no longer participates in either, has several pairs and wears them to work as a symbol of defiance against authority.  Socks as insurrection. Love it. Grin
that's right - she was a socks posterchild - and revolutionary Smiley  I still see her on FB...

She is also the MASTER of nail polish quirkiness and better at creative whining than anyone I know. Aaaand she makes a mean home canned pretty much anything.  And she likes cats.

Doesn't get much better than that. Smiley

I think she had a topic exactly on that at one time - may have been back on DF

I don't remember that.  If it was when you were active in DF, I may never have seen it.   There was another guy on DF, Sabor (I think) was his username.  He and another DFer had an ongoing inside joke about lime green socks that lasted for a couple years.  Complete with pictures.

I still have a few pair of missing socks and often they end up inside a quilt cover and until you use it next you dont find it.

Or a guest uses it, only to have socks appearing in the night...

Scary thought.

Reminds me of a story the ex likes to tell about staying in a hotel in a developing country, only to find a used ... prophylactic device in his bed in the middle of the night. Not his.  Ewww.

That's what you get when you insist on following one of those bargain travel guides.

My honeymoon there were hairs - yes that kind - in the bed. I should have recognized it as a Sign. Tongue Tongue

The ex and I spent ten days in Europe looking at old churches.  Too bad he is allergic to cigarette smoke and mold.  He spent the whole time wheezing and dripping.  Yep.  A sign from the universe. I should have left his butt in Brugge and saved myself the trouble. lol.
