The ON Topic Thread
«
on:

I love the off-topic thread cause you can say things that others will not respond to - random thoughts are IT.
This is the ON topic thread: its very simple, your post must include a noun or verb from the previous post - but you can be as random or as connected as you like otherwise (you can use the word as part of another if you like). Note you can use any word except the trivial connectors (thus, not 'the', 'and', 'or', 'a', etc.) , you do not have to use the same one (else we would get stuck on one word only). Put the copied word in capitals or bold.... thus:
The BEGONIAS are blooming beautifully today.
BLOOMINGton is where I live!
I heard a fantastic concert LIVE from the met....
LIVEr and onions is one of my favorite sinful meals.

I think I was illegally being off-topic, but on with the thing.
Something
admitted is often best left untold.

The
acquisition
of knowledge can sometimes impede the natural flow of inspiration.

Knowledge
can do two things for you...it can inspire you and hinder you...in the growth beyond where you are now.

growth
can be misinterpreted as cramming more into our minds; true growth is an emptying process;
"A Zen master received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.
Upon arrival, the professor started talking about all the researches he had done on Zen. The Zen literatures he had ploughed through, his thoughts and opinions on what Zen was and so on.
When the visitor finally paused to catch a breath, the Zen master offered to serve tea. He soon filled his visitor’s cup to the brim. Yet the Zen master appeared oblivious and still kept on pouring the tea while making small talk.
Though he saw the tea overflowed, the professor kept quiet to be polite. He was hoping that the Zen master himself would soon notice it. As the Zen master kept on pouring the tea with no sign of stopping, the professor got more uneasy until he couldn’t take it anymore. “Stop! Can’t you see the cup is full? It can’t take any more tea!”
“Ah! So you’ve noticed,” the Zen master slowly put down the tea pot. Then he smiled and spoke gently, “Now, shall we empty your ‘cup’ and start all over on Zen?” "

I love that BTM. I totally agree with this philosophy. I love to
empty
my cup (one of the reasons I am here) as I know the universe will fill the void.

some people's
cup
s are half full, and some are half empty - but that is not the most important variable, its really how big your
cup
is
