Ok...I give in. I need some advice. Been thinking about it all day today.
...
[snip]
...Does this girl seem interested in me? It would be awkward if she was just being friendly and I took it the wrong way. I can't get her out of my mind. She's simply beautiful. Someone who is sent down from heaven, she's like an angel! SIGH......What do I do?
I think she's interested, but invite her to a few more dances and see I guess. She may have been a bit shy during the rumba because it was suddenly a bit more intimate than she was expecting. But she was smiling, so she loved it. She sounds great, I say meet up with her again and get to know her a bit better.

When I walk back into the studio, everyone was like "That girl is so into you!". (Especially my dance partner, she was really excited for me.) DP said during the rumba, the girl seemed to be shy all of a sudden but always had a smile on her face. So...what is it that everyone else is seeing that I'm not?
It is important to open your eyes "grasshopper" for the blow of the fist will otherwise kiss your cheeks!

take it allegorically - thats my way of getting on with life
'grasshopper' is from kung-fu-Kane (David Carradine, who just died very mysteriously in a hotel room BTW), a TV series about a western guy who returns to the US after growing up in nepal or somwhere like that and wanders small town-to small town with someone chasing him but always doing good with his eastern buddhist training and martial arts skills.... he has flash backs to his training as a child when he was called 'grasshopper' by the guru.
So 'grasshhopper' is neophyte. So far so good.
'open your eyes' or 'the blow of the fist will otherwise kiss your cheeks'.
OK, I'm
too
Sounds like he is saying open your eyes so that you can avoid the sting of love... but that means running away I think.
OK V, help us out here

The grasshopper part was the metaphor meaning you
'open your eyes'
"you say that it was obvious to all your friends including PD that she likes you but you made the statement that you didn't notice"
'or the blow of the fist will otherwise kiss your cheeks'
The blow of the fist symbolises the disappointment of what you might feel by loosing what you never had but wish you did
'kiss on the cheek'
the aftermath over never knowing, the pain, disappointment.
eh I thought I was clear
