refurbed practice shoes feel great! i think the little wooden piece the cobbler added before he re-leathered and re-sueded the heel added a wee bit of palpable height... which is nice. Smiley

I think practise shoes should have the same height as your competition ones but be more comfortable...

yes, only had that discussion this week about having the heel the same size, as the connection does change an inch lower does make a lot of difference

I so totally need new shoes too.  I look like I went to war in mine.  No, my would have to look better than what they are to look like I went to war in them.  No money for it right now though.  So far I have sewn, gooed, glued, stuffed in some paper towel, spray painted and used a ring from a cat tag to replace a buckle and then some to keep my heels together.  Hey this may be a new thread.  What have you done to keep your dance equipment going?

This is what we use to clean satin dance shoes. It's quite good. It's Spot Stain Remover for satin. It's made by Waproo. I'm not sure if it's only available in Australia or if it's sold internationally
