I should be, yes.  But DW is very tired; she had to do a long day trip to Muscle Shoals yesterday.  She fell asleep on the couch at 7:30.  I decided it might be a good time to be a DH and stay home with her.

Ah, the Shoals...never been there, but I sure like the guys I know from that area!

As for being a good DH, you covered her with a blanket, put a pillow underneath her head, and turned the TV off/down, right?  And naturally got DJ to curl up with her as a furry little space heater.

She, er... is at a stage where she does not want a blanket on her.   Shocked  But yes, I try to make her comfortable.  DJ was curled up with her for a while, but it got too warm for him, and he's sprawled out on the floor now.   Cheesy

To some extent it must also be the clubs that we visit - R lives not far from Toronto and she does not seem to have the same problem.  Both of them have been around for a long time and have a very established clientelle - salt of the earth types.  It might be better elsewhere but DP and I live about an hour apart (without traffic) and these clubs are conveniently half way between....

Would it be worth it to make the extra drive every once in a while?  Say, one week out of the month you drive close to DP's place, and another week he drives all the way to yours?  Then you only have to deal with the poor scenes half the time.

we only social dance typically 2 times a month - and then its mostly so that we can run through our routines on a crowded floor and have a bit of fun.  I raised the above more because its curious and for contrast with others than because its actually a problem.

Perhaps one day when we stop competing we will then get more into social dancing (actually, I wonder...).

Speaking thereof, there's a lady with whom I danced a lot recently but she cut back due to some personal /family stuff.  She keeps emailng she's coming to a social again but hasn't made it so I gave up on her.  Yesterday she asked me if I wanted to met her at a big ballroom event in July.  I said sure.  Now she says she might have a wedding that weekend.  Meh.  SHE knows where to find me too.  (Should I move this to the "Love stinks" thread?   Cheesy)
