Whenever I think of Florida nowadays I just see Malakawa's dance floor. Disneyworld - what's that?!  Grin

I'd love to pop over sometime - never been to the US yet... the anniversary offer sounds tempting - can I be a member too?! Cheesy

We'll have to get some tap dancing on the fred astaire dance calendar Wink

Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but she did it backwards and in high heels.

It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer.

Saturday nights, Largo Community Center, Mostly Swing dance - nice venue, friendly people, teacher and DJ Arleene is a very nice lady.
See savoysouth.com.

Gulfport Casino Ballroom - Sunday (?) nights.  Nice venue, live bands play ballroom with a little swing, etc tossed in for variety.

Sunday nights - The Grotto, by Tampa airport - another swing dance.

There's an Argentine tango group in Bradenton that meets once a month or so.

Just occurred to me that Floridan dance scene should be a partner site to Canadian dancers - in the winter I suspect a large fraction of your population IS canadian (we call them snow birds)...

Canada south... Tongue
