OK, so I might be the only poster here!  But this is one of my hobbies.  Its when you use dance prhotos to create something beyond capturing the dancers themselves - an artistic expression on top of the captured image.  Oh, and photoshop is your friend Wink

[anyone know if its possible to upload pictures here - as apart from providing a link?]

I am still looking to buy a camera to do this!  However, I am sure I will be adding more to this topic when I buy my camera!

My best suggestion right now is to upload to a location like Flickr or Picasa, then grab the link there to post an image.

To display an image from an external site, you do the following:

<image>http://www.imagelocationhere.com/imagename.jpg</image>

Just replace < > with [ ] Smiley

I'd love to see them...they sound really cool.

The only dance themed art I've done so far is this:


Frankly, it isn't that great, because I did really sit there and try and capture a good one...it was just a snapshot in between dances. At the comp in a week I'm going to try and get some better ones.

and the software will make the image boxes if you click the second button on the lower row above...

trouble is that if the image is not the only thing on the page you can't link to it.  What I've been doing is trying to find it with google search - it will strip (most) images from the page and allow you to link to just the picture.

Yes L - but your artisitc contribution was in not throwing the image away - in recognizing its dark beauty.  If you like you had the artistic eye... I've done a lot of hte same.  I now try to make images with interesting features so that its not so random.

Lioness, I like your picture.

I guess I am more interested in getting good pictures of my friends dancing rather than the more artistic side of photography.  However, I know when I get the darn camera, start playing around with it, and actually feel comfortable with taking pictures, I'll probably start trying to make pretty pictures like Lioness'.
