Ha!   It never occurred to me until I started writing this poll how many options there are.  But I do know that some people have very distinct preferences of type of music.  Competitive dancers, for example, have very specific BPM (or MPM -- Don't get me started!) requirements.  So they often practice to those ballroom compilation CDs or adjust the music tempo using software, BUT a lot of big comps hire an orchestra.  Just one convoluted example.

So question for you.  At the places where you dance, what kind of music do you prefer?  Live? Recorded?  Why?   And does social versus competitive dance matter to you, when you're picking music?
