Total change of subject.  I cried when  I watched this video eulogy delivered by Stephen Colbert last night in tribute to his mother who died last week.  It's heartbreaking, but it's funny.  What a remarkable man.  His Mom must have been a gem.

Random thoughts: Buying navel oranges that normally cost $1.25 each for $0.50 at the end of the season = crap shoot.

Having a teenager is not as bad as it's cracked up to be.  I haven't put trash out in weeks.

I've been waiting for the shoe to drop for years, now. *shrug*

Mad:  I saw a lady today at Subway who (honest to Pete) checked with her husband on every single detail of how to order her own  sandwich.  Surely she knows whether she likes pickles!!!

lol!  I couldn't believe what I was seeing.   I wonder what she'd have done if he had told her to order something she didn't like.  Ordered it and eaten it, no doubt. *shakes head*

Merry: Teenage boys (other than DS) all seem seven feet tall and rather intimidating.  DS is *only* 6'1", but he seems short to me.  I think it's the Mom thing.  He'll always be my baby.

Mad: DS is threatening not to go to his internship with one of the preeminent scientific organizations in the US.  He doesn't want to spend weeks with his Dad.  Grr.

I think the internship trumps everything else.  He'll be applying for colleges soon.  what's he going to put on his resume? "I was going to intern, but  don't like my Dad?"  That's not going to cut it. *sigh*

Sad  I thought you could buy pills or collars to prevent that.

Mad:  I hate it when people use emotional blackmail on their FB pages.

"If you love me and care about [blah] post this on your wall.  I know some people will."  I love you and I care about you, but my wall is mine.  I put on it what I please, not your modern day FB chain letter doo-doo.

Oy vey!

Sorry.  Just venting.  This is the same FB friend who drove me to block all incoming gambling apps.   She's one step from FB annihilation. lol.

I quite agree with; and the stupid quotes like "87% of people won't repost this." how can they possibly know? how many people will actually see it?
