Me too. (on video.  I wasn't born yet when the Dr.first aired.)  Not a fan of the William Hartnell episodes. *shrug*

IIRC, Tom  Baker was the longest lived of the Dr. Who actors,wasn't he?  I could be wrong.  My second fave Jon Pertwee. William Hartnell. Blech.

The show started with a real edge - and then it became sort of a teenage romp. 

IMO same thing happened to James Bond - sean connery is and was the only real thing.

I have to admit that Sean Connery is the coolest. I can't think of anybody else who could be sexy at eighty-something years old.
