Another one for the competitive set (especially for ladies who stone their own costumes)

Are there any ways to get decent stones at a reasonable price? Obviously, we all ant the best quality possible, but the prices really add up quickly.

OTOH, cheaper quality stones can look so... cheap.

Is there a middle road somewhere?  What do you do to get stoned on the cheap?

It is.

Where to buy stones, how to find them at a good price, whether/when/how it's okay to use less expensive stones, which brands are really good quality.  All very different from how to stone a dress.

Besides.  I started this dress before I found that one in the archives.

Oh duh!  I'm such a dingdong!

You meant a different subject!   lol.  Yep.  I like to use puns in thread titles. I think it makes people  more likely to read.  Not post, apparently, but read.

How about not stoning at all? There are (unstoned) dresses that don't look quite out of place even in open level (I'll say up to prechamp).

That's a great idea! Smiley  Never would have occurred to me.  So many people are glitter junkies and can barely wait to get to the level where stones are allowed.

Unstoned sounds like a great, bargain-friendly alternative.  Of course,if you're plain when everybody else is sparkly, your dancing will be much more visible.  Better be good ...

I agree for AM - but in pro-am you look bare if you don't have a few hundred.  Its all about glitz...
