This actually doesn't pertain only to competitive dancers.

Given the high cost of new/custom made ballroom gowns and Latin costumes, there's a huge and thriving market out there for resale and rental costumes.  Have you ever tried it, or do you always get yours new?

If you have chosen not to go resale, is there any particular reason why? Do you sell your old costumes?

If you do use rental or resale,do you ave any tips or pointers about how to make sure you're getting a fair deal?  And precautions one should take?

And how is the pricing, with new versus resale?  Any thoughts?
