what are your classic foot-in-the-mouth outpourings - I have a few that each time I think of them I want to bury myself under my bed blankets and never come out.  Classics like asking one of two women about her mother, to find it was her sister and once asking an old friend when the baby was due, only to discover of course that the bulge was the other kind...

The time I went to GF's wedding. My ex-BF I hadn't seen in a decade was there. So were his mother and his wife.  I got so nervous that I rambled on and on to the people at my table, talking about everything offensive that came to mind - religion, politics, abortion. You name it.  OMG. I was a wreck.  *face still burning years later*

I wasn't prepared for that, to say the least.*sigh*

a friend sent a mail saying I was being horrible and like the brat I am, I said "No this is being horrible," and sent a truly trollible reply but totally fiction. She was upset. very. I said sorry, am still saying sorry. Now she uses it to make me squirm.... Tongue  Smiley

My biggest facepalm dancing moment was when I told my first dancing teacher I wanted to get more serious about my dancing. Seriously? Why?!?! I had been with him 11 years and then I go say this?? I still cringe every time I think about it.   Undecided

He was actually quite supportive but I still think he was a bit hurt.   Undecided

You are talking about the instructor at the social studio, right?  In that case, even if you feel face-palmy about it, I think he really had your well-being at heart.  He encouraged you to move on, saying that he couldn't teach you more.  That must've been hard for him to hear, but he did right by you.
