I've heard wedding dances called the ballroom industry's bread and butter.  Everybody wants to dance beautifully for their wedding video, and they're willing to pay handsomely for it.

The ballroom packages I've seen generally include about five lessons, with choreography to the song of the couple's choice.  the dances I've seen go anywhere from extremely elaborate (I'll try to find an awesome father/daughter dance and a wheelchair bridal dance that you will LOVE!)  all the way to clutch and sway (for which I genuinely hope nobody paid for instruction. lol)

Anyway. Question. How much do you think is really needed for a successful wedding dance?  And just out of curiosity, what types of dances do you usually see people pick for their first dance?

And here's the wheelchair first dance.  (It's a long video in which the teachers are interviewed as well, but I love their dance so much it makes me cry every time.)  for the best view of the actual dancing, skip to near the end, around minute 7.

Oh my gosh!  I saw a wedding dance on Huffington Post the other day.  I'll try to find the video. This is what I call over the top.

Whatever happened to a few box steps, an underarm turn, and a sit dip?

I bet it would be much more tastefully done than the video above.
