PDO is intellectual ... when it needs to be.  And silly when it needs to be.  And everything in between.  All in all a good mix.Smiley

hey - I'm guessing you have never had real fruitcake.  Its wonderful.  In much of the west fruitcake is christmas cake and wedding cake too.  far nicer than that nasty tasteless sponge stuff.  Huh.  Harumph....  Angry

I was just kidding.  My Mom makes the fruitcake that she learned from generations of women in her family, starting with great-great-great Grandmom M, the Cherokee refugee, who learned from her husband's sisters to bake legendary cakes in a fireplace.  Fruitcake was perfect, because it bakes so slowly in a covered cast iron Dutch oven.

GGG-Grandmom would preserve fruit in the summer and save nuts for months, then bake the (gingerbread-based) cakes one at a time and bury them in a barrel, so they could soak in liquors until Christmas.

Merry.Merry Christmas.

How the heck did we get onto  fruitcake?  Oy.

Does anybody follow ballroom "stars" on facebook?

I've found that to be unpredictable. Many of them accept follower or friend requests from anybody, but their posts can be totally irrelevant to dance. I really am not following them to see pictures of their children or pets.  I'm following them to see/hear about their dance.

Maybe I'm weird ...

I think its fun to see the stars on FB - though not so much so when they get overbearing and tell you every achievement.  I bits OK but I would actually rather see a glimpse into their lives, personalize them a bit...
