I hear ya.

I think it would be interesting to hear what dance pros have to say on the topic.  The dance pros in my experience have been very vocal in refuting the idea of pro-am relationships as partnerships or personal relationships. But the pro I've interacted most closely with has been very dismissive of students, much of the time, so that view might not reflect reality. *shrug*

Does PDO have any active dance teachers around?  If so, I'd love to hear them weigh in.
