Way to go Pete and Bec.  They were from our old studio and I have seen these two go from Juniors to Professional.  Lovely lovely people.  They have also just taken over a studio here in Brisbane.  Grin

very nice for them for sure - but what does this mean for 'juding'   I mean the Boyces should be so far above them for this result to be impossible.

It may actually signal a start of breakaway judging in the east - definitely worth following...  I mean they could hardly not have known.

Even weirder is the first place - this is a couple with no (documented) international experience.  Either the judges here were naive OR they are actually seeing or creating a new standard (for standard, excuse the pun).

well one would hope that they judged it how they saw it. and that would be refreshing. I am not a big fan of the boyces the height difference is disconcerting. They are of course much better dancers than I am but the  Australian couple are lovely dances, good on them.
