Don't waste all that recovery time and put yourself right back where you were. Sloooow and steady she goes...

I'm trying to be careful and do muscle massage before I dance to warm up.

Whats the latest evidence on massage and stretching vs muscle injury? I thought there was an army study where they found it made little difference - of course they were not out of shape or old!

well the training partner has come to an end. She has received pressure from her dancer partner that she is reconnecting with as he wants to start training. Even thought she did promise 8 weeks this is now down to six.
I wonder how long the partnership will last if it starts on this note.
Anyway she is very thankful for having done the 6 weeks with V and I have enjoyed offering guidence. it is a different experience looking n the outside.

Well, it was obviously useful while it lasted.
And V - what will he do now?

I am going to try and do some with him. but he will work with the coach, not point in finding someone for two weeks.

I was meant to not dance for 8 weeks and I am at week 6, so I dont know....I did the dance lesson and will see how I feel tomorrow. I did 45 minutes teacher was running behind. I suppose they make a call of how many weeks on the amount of interference when doing the surgery. I will just pace myself now.

I see. Well, crossing toes... (much more dramtic for a dancer than fingers!

How did that work out, QPO? It seems to me that encouraging your DP to seek a practice partner while you're out of commission might not be worth the risk, unless you're going to be unavailable for a very long time, in which case I suppose it's only fair. Hmm. Tough call, either way.

If I remember right, I think it worked out well - Q was present at all the practise sessions; no fool our Q

Yes it worked out very well and learnt a lot in osmosis.... I was there at every training and coached them when they were not having a lesson. I think not going along is deadly, it was great to have had 6 weeks, but I would have liked longer but alas...but I am doing well now.
