Two questions really: How long can a pro be competetive (and is there a non-dance bias eventually)?
And whats the oldest someone can go pro and still be competetive - nationally but not necessarily internationally?
Anyone have good examples?
Most Europeans compete till they are in their late 30’s to early 40’s but most started around 6 years old. In Asia they normally compete till they are in their mid 50’s but they start in their teens or early 20’s. There are several couples that have competed well into their 60’s. I think it all depends what you feel about yourself and your dancing. There is no rule to when one is too old to turn pro or age limits to dancing in the professional ranks.
