Latin Lead

This is something i don't think we've really talked about here, which is partly i think because we seem to be a more standard than Latin focused group.. But anyway the Latin lead. Has anyone heard a coach mention leading the lady through the back? i had someone say this to me today actually in a tryout but didn't get a chance to ask him to elaborate. How do we lead through the back, and to broaden it really how do we (safely) lead in Latin?

New on me too. Perhaps he was referring to what you concentrate on when you lead - think about leading the woman's back not her arm... Just a guess

Well, never heard of it, but is this the same one with leading through body, not arm? All leads are initiated from your torso and center instead of your arm. That is just different style. I gives more freedom of dancing for ladies and more changes to her do her own thing.
