Walk is the best exercise for the core?  Hmm.  Must be some sort of special walking -- making sure to keep the core muscles engaged, maybe?

I can't see a leisurely stroll helping much. *confused*

Just found this on youtube.  Abdominals for ballroom dancers. Pretty cool.

I don't stroll, I power walk and then I run when the traffic light is about to change Smiley

I think it is how you walk. if you walk tall, like when your mother made you hold a book on your head....that is engaging your core, if you slouch when walking you are right it will do nothing for you.

Makes sense.  Then I suppose you have to decide to walk consciously -- to think about what you are doing rather than just going for a walk.

I work on everything just about - in particular core and frame.  Also you can engage your sides - I've even turned round and walked backwards; but not recommended near a road junction!
