Now I'm doing pro-am again Im only dancing once or twice a week - and its starting to show!  DP even mentioned it.  Sooo, gota find a way to stay fit that is not totally boring.

Anyone with a new idea?

gosh if you find out let me know. I cant dance at all at the moment the leg is on strike. I asked the physio and she said no bike riding, nothing until I have seen the specialist.  why not a Pilates class or something structured like that so it is also social.. That is what I would do if I cant dance.
in your case I think the answer is obvious: swimming.  Nothing better to excersize the whole body without stressing the joints.

Found it!  It was right under my car all along!

I live 4.4 km from myjob.  All I have to do is leave the car at home and walk - thats 80 minutes of hard walking a day (for say 3 days a week).

And I started today (half way home - stopped for coffee... Undecided )

-as you walk, think - right left right left right left right left

Our spine is vertical ---but the vertical plane is 'tilted' leftward ---the right hip is always 'up'. Did I forget to mention my left side is shifted leftward?

Ah.  When I think about it (I had not) I suppose we do both to maintain ballance while in position.  But never considered practising for it.

Not sure that is a very healthy way to sit long term though!  I mean you also have to be able to walk and you don't want to end up like Richard III (currently in the news - they think they may have found his body!)  Smiley

And what do you do to practise keeping your core strong?

Everyone tries to rush up through the syllabus levles and think once they are at the top they have arrived.  What they don't realize is that by doing this it is like skimming through a book, you may get the gist but you will never understand the story.

yes I agree it is great. and look forward to increasing my walking now that I have had the surgery. This iis day one of my rehabilitation. First goal ...stop limping!

- thats very important to not damage your hips or create other imballance injuries
