How would you approach it if you were to start dancing from scratch??

I think we would all be rich in the pocket if we had not started dancing but it is more than the money. It is a life experience

Thats not exactly what I meant - I mean if I were starting from scratch I would be sure I was rich.

First you have decide that the new reality isn't actually better than the old one.  After all, all realities are only approximations aren't they?

I think thats a 'right of passage'.  But its not really unusual: 'learning how to learn' is a crucial part of every goal.

If I were to take up anything new, knowing what I know now, I'd be much better off than I was when I started dancing.  Back then, there was so little access to information.  Everything was word of mouth and there was very little information on the internet, comparatively speaking.

I often think it would be nice if a dance community, such as this one, were to put together a checklist of criteria for choosing a good dance teacher/studio.

Unless you're well-connected, you are really at their mercy when you walk into a dance studio for the first time.

As long as we approach it from a positive perspective (i.e. NOT rotten dance teacher tricks to avoid  )  I'm in.
