well for one I would make sure that I pick a better school to start with. not that you know it...we worked out very quickly though that where we were dancing was just basic instruction and then we moved on to another. the instruction was much better ex comp dancer....but no longer into the comp scene so when we decided to do comps they were trying to talk us out of it.....but we did it anyway... Since moving to our new school we have gone from strength to strength and it is a same SW wont get to see us dance this time... we feel we lost three years.....  |

My partner and I lost 3 1/2 years at one studio just unknowingly spinning our wheels then wasted another 2 years at another studio where the teachers really didn't know how to work with competitiors. Of course if we didn't go to the first studio we would not have met each other and they did teach us that tecnique was important over other studios that just showed steps. The second place made us realize that you can't stay with an instructor to be loyal or you only hurt yourself and your own progression.
I would still want the same partner but I would not let us go down the wrong track like we did due to influences from others.

I think we would all be rich in the pocket if we had not started dancing but it is more than the money. It is a life experience |
