Does anyone know of any drills a lady can do to practice standard by herself? Thanks!

As I understand it (correct me if I am wrong DSV) all the drills are for the lady to practise by herself. At its acme, body school dancers learn appart and only come together for occasional trials and competitions.
That would not work for me - I'm not that ambitious and need to enjoy dancing during my practise sessions. Life is too short!

There are drills for both the man and the lady. Each of the drills helps the person understand and work on each of their 4 jobs. It is suggested that the drills are the main practice until you have them down with no thought. The process of getting them down with no thought normally takes about 3 months and the drills are then second nature. The drills are then done separate before each practice. The separate practice will be about 10 to 30 minutes. Then the couple will do drills together to promote the connection of the partnership. After the drills are done (the separate drills and the together drills) then the couple should do a couple of rounds. After the two rounds the couple now has a change to take things apart and work on the details. This is the ideal practice.

You're right, ee. I wasn't sure if all drills were done alone, so I wanted to be clear. But it looks like I was just redundant.

But DSV's explanation indicates that the drills are just a pre-dance process - after they have been established the couple does dance together. I suppose its obvious now, but I still don't quite get the details of the BoS (body school) development protocol. Maybe there are also some variations?

After two rounds I'd have collapsed on the ground!

What are the actual drills? Are they in the "body school" threads somewhere?

... I don't think many were ever uploaded (a few are here and there); it may be one of the body school secrets...
