Every summer, despite our best intentions, the frequency of our practice and attending of dances goes way down. There's just too much else going on.

How do others find the time/motivation/physical energy to continue the fall/winter/spring pace of dancing? I'm in awe of several of the posters on PDO Smiley

I think the magic word is - routine.  DP and I have certain days were we always meet to dance - sunday morning and wed eve.  This is just what we do.  I think thats what sustains us - plus the occasional local comp.  Then we get enthusiastic and add other practices on the fly.

I've never really experienced a summer dance slowdown.  Around the winter holidays is about the worst time of year for me.  Too many other distractions.
