This topic was stimulated by a youtube set I came across
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEAN_NcoinA&list=PL2F816508E518FC92

..tracking dancesport from the 60s.  The really amazing video is of Marcus Hilton and (then) Karen Johnstone dancing.... latin!  He in particular is spectacular.  Its the third of the set.

But we could have a lot more on history - if there is interest I will create a history board.

Brigett Mayer has taken on the huge task of recording Ballroom dance history.  I have to commend her on takiing on such a difficult task.

Everyone tries to rush up through the syllabus levles and think once they are at the top they have arrived.  What they don't realize is that by doing this it is like skimming through a book, you may get the gist but you will never understand the story.

Yes, she has a gorgeous book that documents a great deal: Ballroom Icons
